Turn-of-the-Century Home
University House
Built in 1906, University House is a charming historic residence located in one of Newberg’s established neighborhoods near George Fox University. Homes like this once defined the character of early Newberg, reflecting the craftsmanship and welcoming residential design of the early twentieth century.
After noticing a “for sale” sign being placed in the yard, current owner Leigh recognized the home’s potential and soon began a careful restoration. Over the course of fourteen months, the house was thoughtfully updated for modern living while preserving the warmth and charm that make historic homes so special.
Today, University House is filled with family antiques, elegant lighting, and inviting living spaces that create a comfortable yet timeless atmosphere. Now operating as a guesthouse, the home offers visitors a chance to experience Newberg’s historic character while enjoying the thoughtful stewardship that keeps these treasured properties alive for future generations.
